Start your 3rd day of 12 days cairo, alexandria & nile cruise package by visiting the Step Pyramids of Zoser, which is the oldest significant stone structure in the world. This impressive monument, built for King Djoser in the 3rd Dynasty around 2630 BC, showcases ancient architectural marvels. Next, head to Memphis, founded by King Menes and once the capital of Old Egypt during the Old Kingdom. This city held great significance for over 3,000 years, serving as a hub for governance and cultural development. Don’t miss the chance to see the Statue of Ramses II during your visit. Finally, return to your Cairo hotel and enjoy an overnight stay.
Have breakfast and then go to the domestic airport. Take a plane to Luxor.
Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to begin your tour, starting with a visit to the Temple of Karnak and the Temple of Luxor. You will then embark on an excursion to Luxor Temple, where you can explore its courtyard and admire the impressive granite statues of Ramses the Great. Afterward, you will continue your journey to Karnak.
Proceed to the hotel and spend the night in Luxor.
On the fifth day, we will embark on a Nile cruise and explore the sights of Dandara and Abydos.
After having breakfast, the group proceeds to Abydos, a place that the ancient Egyptians believed to be the final resting place of their god, the Lord of the Underworld. The temple found there was constructed by King Seti I and later finished by King Ramses II, and is now referred to as the temple of Seti I.
Abydos is situated approximately 420 km south of Cairo in Sohag Government and around 135 km away from Luxor.
The Osiris Temple at Abydos contains exquisitely preserved paintings depicting the gods and pharaohs of Egypt. Afterward, we will journey to Dandara, where we can explore the Temple of Hathor, dedicated to the goddess of love and joy. Dandara is situated north of Luxor. Following our visit, we will transfer to the Nile Cruise, where we will board before enjoying lunch on board.
Overnight in Luxor
On the sixth day of 12 days cairo, alexandria & nile cruise package, there will be a Nile cruise and a tour of the West Bank.
Enjoy breakfast on the ship before crossing over to the West Bank. Explore the renowned Valley of the Kings, the magnificent Temple of Hatshepsut, and the impressive Colossi of Memnon.
Take a trip to Thebes’ Necropolis, located on the western bank. After crossing the Nile, proceed to the Valley of Kings and explore the tombs of different dynasties. Additionally, make a visit to the Temple of Deir El Bahari.
On the way back, make a stop at the Colossi of Memnon, a pair of enormous seated statues that depict Amenhotep III overlooking the Nile. Next, explore the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Lunch will be provided on the boat. The rest of the afternoon is yours to relax or engage in activities of your choice. Enjoy some tea in the afternoon and spend the night in Luxor.
Enjoy breakfast while on the boat. Explore the Temple of Horus in Edfu. Sail towards Kom Ombo and have lunch on the boat. Visit the temple in Kom Ombo, which is dedicated to both Sobek and Haroeris. Take a break in the afternoon for tea. Spend the night in Kom Ombo.
On your 8th day of 12 days cairo, alexandria & nile cruise package, Enjoy breakfast on the ship and then set sail to Aswan. Begin your excursion by visiting the High Dam, a construction project that was finished in 1964. From this point, you will have the opportunity to admire the scenic view of Lake Nasser.
Travel to the island of Agilkia aboard a felucca, an Egyptian sailboat, to see the Philae temple. This temple was relocated from its original location on Philae Island, which is mostly underwater in Lake Nasser for most of the year. The Temple of Isis and its various structures were constructed during the 26th dynasty and the Roman era. Spend the night in Aswan.

Going to see the Temple of Abu Simbel is a journey to witness one of the great wonders of ancient Egypt. This immense temple, constructed by Ramses II during the 19th Dynasty, was recently rescued from being submerged by the rising waters of the Nile River. It stands as a testament to the grandeur of ancient Egyptian architecture and is among the most magnificent monuments of that era. The temples were constructed using sandstone from a cliff, and on the large front of each temple, you can see carvings of the gods they were dedicated to. Not too far away, you can also find the well-preserved Temple of Queen Nefertari, dedicated to the goddess Hathor. After visiting these temples, you can return to Aswan. You will be taken to Aswan Airport and fly to Cairo. Once you arrive, you will be transferred to your hotel in Cairo. You will be staying in Cairo overnight.
Your hotel pick-up will be arranged by our tour guide from egywonders. The tour will commence with a visit to the library of Alexandria, which holds the distinction of being the largest library globally and is currently home to 8 million books. You will have the opportunity to explore its open court, where notable statues of Alexander the Great and Ptolemy the First are showcased. The latter statue was discovered in close proximity to an underwater location. Our guide will provide insights on the library’s architecture from the exterior, granting you the chance to capture memorable photographs along the way.

Many individuals believe that the El Nabi Daniel Mosque is linked to the tomb of Alexander the Great. It is rumored to hold the remains of the esteemed scholar and revered teacher, Prophet Daniel, along with his companion, Sidi Lokman el Hakim, who was a religious storyteller.
You have the option to have lunch at either a contemporary fish restaurant or a renowned and traditional Alexandrian eatery known as Mohamed Ahmed’s. This particular restaurant is frequented by notable individuals, including the Queen of Spain, whenever they come to Alexandria.
Keep exploring the ancient market district of Mansheya, which is home to the oldest market in the area. Here, you can observe the quaint women’s markets, known as “zan’et etsetat,” with their charmingly narrow and winding streets. Additionally, you will come across a bustling gold market, where people shop for their wedding and engagement jewelry.
Afterward, the car will transport you to see the most beautiful and largest mosque in the city, known as the Abbo Elabbas Mosque. Adjacent to it, you’ll be amazed by an unusual scene: an ancient amusement park where kids enjoy riding antique funfair attractions and indulging in cotton candy.
Across from this location is the corniche and the historical harbor, where one can observe ancient fishing vessels, fishermen at work, and traditional net artisans. The photographs captured in this area are truly astonishing. Carry on to explore the exterior of Quaitbay Castle, constructed on the very spot where the renowned Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, once stood. This magnificent castle offers a splendid opportunity for breathtaking photos.
Afterward, the vehicle will escort you to Montaza’s gardens. Along the route, there will be an opportunity for a brief, optional 2-minute break at the King of Mango to enjoy some freshly squeezed juices from the drive-thru, followed by a photo opportunity at the memorial of the Unknown Soldier of Alexandria.

When you go to Montaza Gardens, also called the Love Garden, a popular spot for couples and families, you can explore the lush gardens owned by King Farouk, the final king of Egypt. There, you can witness the royal beaches, where the queens used to spend their leisure time.

Please be aware that the Alexandria Library is not open on public holidays. Additionally, in order to access the reading area, it is necessary to obtain an additional ticket.
You will require comfortable, flat shoes (ideally with a covering) when visiting the Pyramids and Valley of the Kings. Don’t forget to also pack flip flops or sandals to wear on the Nile felucca or Nile Cruiser.
