Day 1: Arrival in Alexandria

When you arrive at Alexandria Airport, our representative from egywonders will be there waiting for you, holding a sign. You will then be taken to your hotel in an air-conditioned car. You will stay overnight in Alexandria.

Day 2: Alexandria Day Tour

Your tour to Alexandria will begin with our tour guide collecting you from your hotel. The first stop on the tour will be the renowned library of Alexandria, which holds the distinction of being the largest library globally, currently housing a collection of 8 million books. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to explore the library’s open court and enjoy the various free museums it offers.

Please be informed that the Alexandria Library is not open on Fridays or during public holidays. In order to access the reading area, an additional ticket must be obtained.

First, make sure to go to the Site of the Lighthouse, which used to be one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and now has the Qaitbey Castle. After that, explore the beautiful royal gardens of King Farouk, the last king of Egypt, and see the Haramlek and Salamlek royal palaces, along with the queens’ royal beaches. Next, continue your tour by visiting the stunning and largest mosque in the city, the Abbo Elabbas Mosque, and also see the memorial of the Unknown Soldier of Alexandria and the statue of Alexander the Great.

Afterwards, you have the option to pause for lunch before heading to St. Mark’s Church, which is the oldest church in Africa. Following that, you can continue your journey along the Cornish, a 30-kilometer stretch, to catch a glimpse of Alexandria from the seaside. This panoramic view includes the ancient harbor of Alexandria, where an astonishing 7,000 underwater monuments have been discovered. Day 3: The Pyramids Tour

Start your third day of 5 days cairo & alexandria package with breakfast. You will be picked up from your hotel in Alexandria and transported in an air-conditioned vehicle to Cairo. Upon arrival, your tour will begin with a visit to the Great Pyramids—specifically, the pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerions—as well as the Sphinx.

Make a trip to explore the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, where you can witness an extraordinary assortment of art spanning 5,000 years. This museum houses the most extensive and valuable collection of Egyptian art worldwide. Among its exhibits, there is a special section exclusively showcasing the remarkable treasures, golden artifacts, and jewelry belonging to Tutankhamen.

Day 4: The Citadel and Old Cairo Tour

In the morning, our guide will come to your hotel and take you to Salah El Din Citadel. This historical fortress, built by Salah El Din in 1183 AD, was strategically located on the Moqattam hills to protect Cairo from the Crusaders’ forces.

Next, explore the Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque, a magnificent structure crafted by Yousif Boushnaq, a Turkish architect who traveled all the way from Istanbul to construct this remarkable religious site for Mohamed Ali, the esteemed leader of Egypt from 1805 to 1849, with a tenure spanning over four and a half decades.

Afterwards, continue on to explore Old Cairo, where you will have the opportunity to appreciate historic landmarks such as the Hanging Church, Ben Ezra Synagogue, Church of St. Barbara, and Church of Abu Serga. Later, return to your accommodation in Alexandria for the night.

Day 5: Departure

Hotel Rating in Egypt:

• Please be aware that the hotel rating system in Egypt differs from that in the USA or Europe. Therefore, we strongly suggest considering our Luxury or Ultimate Luxury hotel options as the minimum standard in Egypt. Some 5-star hotels in Egypt may have a lower standard compared to those in other regions, resembling more like 3- or 4-star hotels. We do not recommend staying at 3- or 4-star hotels, as we have received numerous complaints from our guests regarding their quality.

Visa Service:

• Avoid long lines and time-consuming processes upon arrival. Our representative will ensure your visa is ready in advance. Simply send us a copy of your passport.

• Attention: If you possess a valid Schengen, USA, or UK Visa, we can offer you visa assistance upon your arrival. There is no need for you to apply at the embassy in advance.

Traveling by overnight train is not recommended.

• We do not suggest it as a good option since the journey lasts for approximately 15 to 18 hours and the train is incredibly noisy. The toilets are in poor condition and emit unpleasant odors. The overall quality of the food is not satisfactory.

The programs provide an estimate of the average cost and duration of domestic flights.

Extra fees may be added to flight tickets during peak seasons and if booked last minute, as they can become quite expensive without any prior warning. Asking for certain times for flights or making changes to reservations that have already been made may cause the total cost of the package to be adjusted.

Children’s policy:

1. Under 2 years free of charge.

2. During the period of 2 to 5 years, a quarter of the trip cost is paid.

3. Children between the ages of 6 and 11 will be charged half of the tour’s total cost.

4. 12+: Pay the full round price per adult.

Additional Entry Tickets

There are additional charges for certain archaeological sites on tours, such as exploring inside a pyramid to view burial chambers and visiting the Mummies Room at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. Entrance to the Tomb of Tutankhamun in Luxor’s Valley of the Kings also requires an extra fee.

Alexandria Trip

Please be aware that the Alexandria Library is not open on public holidays. Additionally, in order to access the reading area, it is necessary to obtain an additional ticket.

Essential Packing

You will require comfortable, flat shoes (ideally with a covering) when visiting the Pyramids and Valley of the Kings. Don’t forget to also pack flip flops or sandals to wear on the Nile felucca or Nile Cruiser.
