The Luxor to Aswan Nile Cruise itinerary is five days long. Every day, we visit a different place than the previous day. We’ll get to know them in detail.
Day 1: We will be arriving from Hurghada to Luxor for the Luxor East Bank Tour.
Our tour guide will wait for you in the lobby of your hotel. You will then be taken to Luxor to see the Luxor Temple, where you can explore the courtyard and view the impressive granite statues of Ramses the Great. Next, you will visit Karnak Temple, a complex of temples constructed during different periods of kingship.
The tour will begin at the Avenue of Sphinxes and include stops at the Unfinished Propylon, the Hypostyle Hall with its massive columns, the Obelisks of Queen Hatshepsut and Tutmose III, the temple of Amon decorated with lotus and papyrus designs, the Granite Scarab of Amenophis III, and the Sacred Lake. From there, you will be transferred to the cruise ship, where you will have lunch and enjoy various activities such as afternoon tea, dinner, and a Belly Dance show.
You have the choice to attend an optional laser show at Karnak Temple featuring sound and light.
Day 2: Luxor West Bank
(Optional) Hot-air balloon rides offer a unique opportunity to make your time in Luxor truly unforgettable. Experience the serene beauty of floating above the Valley of the Kings, the Valley of the Queens, and the Mountain of the Nobles.
Experience a trip to the West Bank, where you will have the opportunity to cross the magnificent Nile River. Embark on a scenic drive to the renowned Valley of Kings, where you can explore the awe-inspiring tombs of different Dynasties. Please note that admission to King Tut’s tomb requires an additional ticket, which is not included in the package.
Visit the Temple of Deir El Bahari, and on your way back, make a stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two enormous seated statues depicting Amenopis III overlooking the Nile. Enjoy lunch on the boat, continue sailing to Esna, and have afternoon tea. Finally, conclude the day with a disco party.
Day 3: Edfu and Kom Ombo
Begin the day with breakfast on the cruise ship. Then, explore the Temple of Horus in Edfu. Afterwards, sail to Kom Ombo and have lunch on board. Visit the Temple Shared by the Two Gods Sobek and Haroeris in Kom Ombo. Spend the night on the cruise ship, enjoying full-board meals.
Day 4: Aswan Tour
Have breakfast on the boat and then sail to Aswan. Begin your tour by visiting The High Dam, which was finished in 1964. From there, you can admire the view of Lake Nasser. Explore the Philae temple on the island of Agilkia. This temple was relocated from its original island of Philae due to it being mostly submerged by Lake Nasser’s waters for most of the year. The main Temple of Isis and its historical structures were constructed between the 26th dynasty and the Roman period. Have lunch on the boat and enjoy afternoon tea. Witness a Nubian Folkloric Show and have dinner on the boat. Spend the night in Aswan.
Day 5: We will leave for Hurghada, and there is an optional tour to Abu Simbel, which is highly recommended.
You have the option to depart and visit the Temples of Abu Simbel. These temples were built by Ramses II in the 19th Dynasty and were recently protected from being flooded by Nile waters. They are considered to be amazing ancient Egyptian monuments. The temples were constructed from sandstone on a cliff, and each temple features carvings of the deities they were dedicated to on their large front facades. Nearby, the small Temple of the King’s wife, Nefertari, devoted to the goddess Hathor, was also saved. Afterwards, you will return to Aswan.
After eating breakfast, you will be transported back to Hurghada, located along the Red Sea.
You will have a 4-night Nile Cruise with full board accommodation, including sightseeing.
All transfers in Luxor and Aswan will be provided. Your tours and excursions will be in an air-conditioned car and guided by an English-speaking expert.
