On the second day of Queen Nefertari tomb, king tut package, we will visit the Giza Pyramids and the Egyptian Museum, where we will have the opportunity to learn about and explore the ancient artifacts and mummies.
Begin your day with breakfast and then head to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, the sole museum in Egypt that provides a comprehensive insight into the various historical eras of Egypt. With over 50,000 artifacts on display, it showcases the progression of Egyptian civilization from ancient times to the current era.
The must-visit area at the Egyptian Civilization Museum is the Royal Mummies Hall. Within this hall, there is a dedicated section where royal mummies from different tombs are preserved. The room is carefully regulated to maintain the ideal climate for the mummies, and they seem to be well taken care of. These mummies, which were mummified over 4000 years ago, include the Kings of Hatshepsut, Tuthmosis, and Ramses, and they are in remarkably good condition. Despite their original large stature, the kings and queens now have lean bodies, and their mummified forms appear smaller and shorter. Take a leisurely walk around this room and observe these pharaohs and queens peacefully resting in a controlled environment, far from their original resting places.
Afterwards, you should go see the magnificent Great Pyramids, which include the Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerions. Among them, Cheops stands out as the most enormous pyramid ever constructed. Following that, take a closer view of the Sphinx, which is a massive burial site protected by the mythical lion body and the face of King Chephren.
Experience the thrill of a camel ride and behold the magnificent sphinx and pyramids from a unique perspective, offering breathtaking panoramic views. Delve into the intriguing tales and secrets of the ancient Pharaohs as I share exclusive hints and intricate details that have remained undiscovered within the pages of books.
If desired, take an evening excursion to witness the sound and light presentation in the vicinity of the Pyramids.
