These two temples, known for their distinct style, are widely regarded as the marvelous achievements of ancient Egypt. They beautifully exhibit the splendor and magnificence of the new Kingdom.
In order to prevent these temples from being flooded, the Egyptian government and UNESCO made a joint decision to work together. The Temple of Ramsses II was built to honor four universal gods, namely Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, Amun-Re, as well as Ramsses II himself. The renowned Abu Simbel temple is also known as The Sun Temple of Ramssess II. Similarly, the Temple of Queen Nefertari is referred to as the Temple of Hathor, who was the wife of the Sun God. This connection between the two temples symbolically brings together Ramsses II, Nefertari, Hathor, and the Sun God as a single entity. Finally, after visiting Abu Simbel, you will be safely taken back to your cruise ship in Aswan for embarkation.

Some 5-star hotels in Egypt may have a lower standard compared to those in other regions, resembling more like 3- or 4-star hotels. We do not recommend staying at 3- or 4-star hotels, as we have received numerous complaints from our guests regarding their quality.
