To start your full-day tour in Alexandria, you will visit the Kom El Shoqafa Catacombs, which is a vast Roman tomb complex dug into rock that features three levels. After that, take a tour to the Roman Amphitheater of Alexandria, where you can see the uncovered ruins of Alexandria that are located under the East Harbor. While on your way, stop by Pompey’s Pillar to capture some photos. This monument was erected in the late fourth century to honor Emperor Diocletian.
The next stop on the trip is the Alexandria Library, which is acknowledged as the biggest library in the world and presently has 8 million books. During the visit, visitors should spare some time to observe its open court, which displays sculptures of Alexander the Great and Ptolemy the First, who was found submerged not far from the library.
While on your full-day tour in Alexandria, you’ll be given the chance to venture into well-known sights like the Manuscripts Museum, Sadat Museum, and Alexandria Museum of Impressions.
Subsequently, you will be driven by car to visit St. Mark’s Church, which happens to be the oldest church in Africa. As one enters the castle, all of its sections can be explored, including the roof, which offers a stunning panoramic view of the entire city.
The means of transportation will take you to Montazah Gardens. Along the way, you can pause briefly for two minutes at the King of Mango. Additionally, you can capture a photo at the Unknown Soldier of Alexandria monument. As you proceed towards the gardens, which are around 25 kilometers away, you can admire the beautiful coastline and plenty of city views.
On your way back, you will pause at the famous Stanley Bridge, which is a modern emblem of Alexandria that was built by Alexander the Great. Afterwards, you will have a comfortable trip to your lodging.
