Cairo and Luxor in a Two-Day Trip was dedicated to seeing highlights in Egypt, and now we will learn about the itinerary in detail.
A representative from Egywonders will come to your hotel in Hurghada or Gouna and transport you in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle to the airport for your flight to Cairo. When you arrive at Cairo Airport, a private Egyptologist guide will be with you to explore the beautiful Pyramids of Cheops, Mykerinus, and the Sphinx, a statue with the head of a pharaoh and the body of a lion that was built during the time of King Chephren. You will also visit the Valley Temple of the Pyramid of Chephren.
A delicious lunch will be provided at a well-regarded restaurant in Cairo. Afterward, you will visit the Egyptian Museum, where you can explore artifacts from the Pharaonic era. Inside, you will find an extraordinary display of 5,000 years of artwork, making it the most significant and valuable collection of Egyptian art worldwide.
Afterward, you will have the opportunity to visit Khan El Khalili, the ancient marketplace in Islamic Cairo. In the evening, you will be chauffeured to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor, where you will be greeted and taken to your hotel.
Begin your day with breakfast at your Luxor hotel before setting off with an English-speaking tour guide in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. Your first stop will be the magnificent Karnak Temples, a massive religious site that holds the title of the largest place of worship ever constructed. Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant in Luxor. Following that, you will be transported to the West Bank of the Nile River to see the impressive twin statues of Amenhotep III, also known as the Colossi of Memnon.
Afterwards, make a stop at the Valley of the Kings, where you can explore the grand burial sites that have been uncovered. During this visit, you will have the opportunity to check out three tombs, excluding Tutankhamen’s. Next on the itinerary is a visit to the Hatshepsut temple at El Deir El Bahary.
