On the third day of 9 days pharaoh’s golden parade package, there was a prestigious event known as the Royal Mummies Golden Parade, which took place at the Egyptian Museum.
Have breakfast and begin your tour by visiting the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, which is the sole museum in Egypt that provides a comprehensive display of the various historical periods of Egypt. With over 50,000 artifacts, it showcases Egyptian civilization from its ancient origins to the modern era.
The most impressive part of the museum is the Mummy Halls, which are considered the most valuable and cherished collection. The entire globe has been astonished by the Pharaoh’s Golden Parade, which featured 22 royal mummies being transferred from the Old Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square to their new permanent location in the National Museum of Civilization.
The Royal Mummies Hall showcases various mummies, including those of King Ramses the Second, Queen Hatshepsut, King Thutmos the Third, and Queen Ahmos Nefertary. Its unique design and underground location aim to recreate the atmosphere of the Valley of the Kings, where many mummies were originally laid to rest. This exhibit features around 150 pieces, including both mummies and their coffins. For the first time, each mummy is displayed alongside the coffin in which it was discovered. The mummies are now situated in special halls beneath the main hall, symbolizing the “underworld” where the royal mummies were unearthed.
Afterwards, pay a visit to the Egyptian Museum, which showcases a vast assemblage of over 250,000 artifacts and a remarkable assortment of Egyptian artwork spanning an impressive 5,000-year timeline. Notably, explore the Tutankhamen room, which houses an extraordinary collection of treasures, precious jewels, and valuable golden items, all of which were entombed with Tutankhamen over 3,500 years ago until their discovery during the excavation of his tomb in 1920.
Overnight in Cairo
On the fourth day of 9 days pharaoh’s golden parade package, we will travel from Cairo to Luxor on a Nile cruise. We will visit the Valley of Kings and the Valley of Queens, which is where everything began.
Have breakfast and then go to the domestic airport. Take a flight to Luxor, and once you arrive, go to the West Bank. Explore the Valley of Kings and Queens, where the mummies that were part of the golden parade were found in two hidden places. The first cache was discovered in 1881 at Deir El-Bahari in Luxor’s West Bank, specifically in tomb TT320.
When you go to the Valley of the Kings, you can explore the tombs of different dynasties, including King Tut’s tomb, which you will also be able to enter. Tutankhamun was the ruler of Egypt for about 10 years, from approximately 1336–1327 BCE. In November 1922, Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon discovered Tutankhamun’s tomb in excellent condition in the Valley of the Kings. Inside the tomb, they found the king’s mummified body surrounded by valuable grave items, all housed in a golden coffin. The burial chamber was officially opened on February 17, 1923, in the presence of Egyptian experts and government officials.
Presently, Tutankhamun is considered to be the most well-known pharaoh of ancient Egypt. However, to what extent are you truly acquainted with the young ruler? Throughout this excursion, I will provide you with details about Tutankhamun that are not as widely recognized.
Please keep visiting the Valley of the Queens, also called Ta-Set-Neferu “The Place of Beauty”. This valley was used as a burial site for members of the royal family and the wealthy, containing around 90 tombs belonging to queens and princes from the ancient Egyptian New Kingdom (1550–1070 BC). During your visit, you will have the opportunity to see the stunning and vibrant tomb of Queen Nefertari (an additional ticket is required).
Next, proceed to explore the Temple of Deir El Bahari, which was built in honor of Queen Hatshepsut. She was a powerful pharaoh who reigned over Egypt during its prosperous era, when the country held dominion over the eastern region.
Hatshepsut, a highly notable woman in Egyptian history, ruled for a period of twenty years. She is famous for her involvement in construction projects throughout Egypt as well as her efforts to establish new trade routes. Sadly, she passed away in 1458 BC. In 1902, Howard Carter discovered her mummy, which was one of the 22 mummies that were transported in the Golden Parade and is now displayed at the Civilization Egyptian Museum.
The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut is an extraordinary feat of engineering. It was specifically constructed to narrate the tale of her life and rule, surpassing all others in its beauty and magnificence.
During your way back, make sure to make a stop at the Colossi of Memnon, which consist of two enormous seated statues that depict Amenhotep III gazing towards the Nile. Afterwards, take some time to explore the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut.
Board the Nile Cruise and spend the night in Luxor.
Occasionally, changes may be made to the itineraries, schedules, and sailing times of cruises on the Nile due to various sailing conditions. However, we can guarantee that our clients will still be able to experience everything that is listed on their itineraries, albeit potentially in a different sequence.
After having breakfast, proceed to the mummification museum. This museum showcases the ancient Egyptian practice of mummification and exhibits various artifacts and mummies associated with it. Here, you will gain knowledge about the specialized mummification techniques used to preserve not only humans but also numerous animal species like crocodiles, cats, and fish. The collection of this museum particularly excels in displaying mummified animals. In addition to that, you will have the opportunity to observe mummification tools, embalming materials, canopic jars, amulets, and coffins. Furthermore, the museum houses ancient tablets that document the process of the funeral journey from the moment of death to burial.
You can choose to take a trip to visit the temples of Karank and Luxor if you wish.
(If desired, there is the option of taking a hot air balloon ride.) The duration of the flight is around 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the prevailing weather conditions.
Overnight on a cruise
On the sixth day of 9 days pharaoh’s golden parade package, You’ll enjoy breakfast while onboard the boat. Explore the Temple of Horus in Edfu. Continue sailing to Kom Ombo and have lunch onboard. Visit the temple, which is dedicated to both Sobek and Haroeris, in Kom Ombo.
Next, proceed with your exploration of mummification. The ancient Egyptians didn’t limit mummification to human bodies; they also mummified animals. Typically, animals were mummified for four main reasons: to ensure that beloved pets could accompany their owners in the afterlife; to provide sustenance in the afterlife; to serve as offerings to certain deities; and because some animals were considered physical representations of the Egyptian gods that were worshipped.
During your tour, the guide will bring you to a crocodile museum where you can observe 22 preserved crocodiles of different sizes. These crocodiles are arranged on a sandy hill within a spacious glass display, allowing you to witness how they lived during ancient Egyptian times.
You will also come across a variety of coffins and sarcophagi made for crocodiles, as well as displays of crocodile fetuses and eggs. Additionally, there are stelae and statues showcasing the god Sobek with a human body and the head of a crocodile.
Overnight in Kom Ombo
On the seventh day of 9 days pharaoh’s golden parade package, You’ll enjoy breakfast on the boat before sailing to Aswan to explore the Temple of Philae. This magnificent temple showcases depictions from Egyptian mythology, particularly the story of Isis, the revered Mother Goddess, reviving Osiris, the god of the underworld, and then embalming his body following his demise. In fact, this could potentially be the earliest known instance of an Egyptian mummy.
Lunch on board. Overnight in Aswan
Breakfast on board. Disembarkation.
(Optional) Abu Simbel Trip
Traveling to Abu Simbel, one can explore the magnificent temple constructed by Ramses II during the 19th Dynasty. This impressive structure was recently spared from being submerged by the Nile waters, making it another remarkable ancient Egyptian treasure.
The temples were constructed from sandstone rock cliffs, with intricate carvings of the deities they were dedicated to on their large fronts. Not far away is the preserved Temple of Nefertari, the King’s wife, which pays homage to the goddess Hathor. Returning to Aswan.

Please be aware that the hotel rating system in Egypt differs from that in the USA or Europe. Therefore, we strongly suggest considering our Luxury or Ultimate Luxury hotel options as the minimum standard in Egypt. Some 5-star hotels in Egypt may have a lower standard compared to those in other regions, resembling more like 3- or 4-star hotels. We do not recommend staying at 3- or 4-star hotels, as we have received numerous complaints from our guests regarding their quality.
Avoid long lines and time-consuming processes upon arrival. Our representative will ensure your visa is ready in advance. Simply send us a copy of your passport.
Attention: If you possess a valid Schengen, USA, or UK Visa, we can offer you visa assistance upon your arrival. There is no need for you to apply at the embassy in advance.
We do not suggest it as a good option since the journey lasts for approximately 15 to 18 hours and the train is incredibly noisy. The toilets are in poor condition and emit unpleasant odors. The overall quality of the food is not satisfactory.
