A representative from egywonders Tours will collect you from your accommodation in Cairo at 6:00 a.m. The next destination is Alamein, which is approximately a 3-hour drive. Once you arrive in Al Alamein, you will have the opportunity to explore the historical site where a significant World War II battle occurred. Additionally, you will also visit the World War II Museum and the Cemetery.
Afterward, proceed to the stunning Marsa Matrouh Bay, located on the Mediterranean Coast, and continue your journey to Siwa. The distance between Alamein and Siwa is approximately 6 hours. Enjoy dinner and spend the night in Siwa. Meals provided include lunch and dinner.
Start your second day of the Great Sand Sea Tour with breakfast and then take a tour of the Old City of Siwa (Shali). Following that, head over to Aghurmi Village to explore the Alexander Temple, a sacred site devoted to the ancient deity Amon dating back to the 26th Dynasty. Finally, visit the Amun Ra Temple located at Um Ubeyda.
Following that, you will be transferred to Cleopatra Spring (Ein Guba) for a visit and have the opportunity to explore the Siwa House Museum. Additionally, the itinerary includes a visit to the Mountain of the Dead (Gabal El Maouta).
During the afternoon, you will be transported to Fitnas Island, where you can experience the captivating and distinct sunset view that is highly recommended in many guidebooks. You will spend the night in Siwa. Your meals for the day will include breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
We will begin our day by having breakfast at the hotel, followed by embarking on our journey to the Siwa Desert. Our first stop will be at Maraki Village. From there, we will proceed to cross the desert until we reach a fascinating archaeological landmark known as the Great Siwa Mountain. Here, we can witness the remarkable first human footprint ever discovered, dating back to the prehistoric era.
We will proceed with our safari tour through the dunes until we reach the fossil zone, where we can observe the ancient coral reefs that originated during the Cambrian period.
Afterwards, you can make your way towards the central part of the desert, specifically Shiata Lake, where one can observe the beautiful Flamenco birds, take a refreshing dip in the chilly spring, and delight in the serene ambiance, providing the perfect opportunity for bathing and relaxing.
Next, you will have the opportunity to partake in the exhilarating activity of sand surfing in the desert. Following this thrilling experience, we will proceed to the peaceful Bir Wahid hot spring to relax our muscles and rejuvenate. We will then spend the night camping at Bir Wahid. The meals provided will include breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Once you finish breakfast, you will be taken to Al-Arag Valley to explore the natural landscapes and visit the Caves or tombs located there. Afterward, you will be transferred to Bahrian for an overnight camping experience. Your meals for the fourth day of the Great Sand Sea Tour will include breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Once you have finished breakfast, you will proceed to journey across the sandy dunes of the Great Sand Sea. Next on the itinerary is a visit to Dalla Spring. You will spend the fourth night of the Great Sand Sea Tour camping in the desert, with meals provided including breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
After having breakfast, proceed towards the Western Desert. Take a break for lunch and then carry on towards the White Desert. Spend the night camping there. The meals provided will include breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
The next morning, you will be taken to visit the quartz crystal at Crystal Mountain and the rugged rock formations in the Valley of Agabat.
Next, we will continue our journey to the Black Desert and the Valley of El Haize, where we can experience the soothing hot springs. Following this, we will be transported to Baharia in a 4X4 vehicle.
Upon reaching your destination, make sure to explore the Museum of the Golden Mummies, the Tombs of Nobles, and the historic Temple of Ain El Muftella, which used to be the primary water supply for the former capital of the oasis. Spend the night in Bahariya and enjoy three delicious meals throughout the day, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Following breakfast, you will be transferred from your accommodation in Bahariya to Cairo. The journey will take approximately 4 hours. Breakfast will be provided.
The hotel in Cairo will provide pick-up and return services.
Accommodation for two nights will be at Ghaliet Ecolodge & Spa in Siwa, and one night will be at Qasr El Bawity Hotel.
There will be accommodation for four nights at a camping site in the desert.

Please be aware that the hotel rating system in Egypt differs from that in the USA or Europe. Therefore, we strongly suggest considering our Luxury or Ultimate Luxury hotel options as the minimum standard in Egypt. Some 5-star hotels in Egypt may have a lower standard compared to those in other regions, resembling more like 3- or 4-star hotels. We do not recommend staying at 3- or 4-star hotels, as we have received numerous complaints from our guests regarding their quality.

We do not suggest it as a good option since the journey lasts for approximately 15 to 18 hours and the train is incredibly noisy. The toilets are in poor condition and emit unpleasant odors. The overall quality of the food is not satisfactory.

There are additional charges for certain archaeological sites on tours, such as exploring inside a pyramid to view burial chambers and visiting the Mummies Room at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. Entrance to the Tomb of Tutankhamun in Luxor’s Valley of the Kings also requires an extra fee.
Please be aware that the Alexandria Library is not open on public holidays. Additionally, in order to access the reading area, it is necessary to obtain an additional ticket.
You will require comfortable, flat shoes (ideally with a covering) when visiting the Pyramids and Valley of the Kings. Don’t forget to also pack flip flops or sandals to wear on the Nile felucca or Nile Cruiser.
