When you arrive at Cairo Airport, our representative will be there holding a sign from egywonders Tours. They will then take you to your hotel in an air-conditioned car. You will spend the night in Cairo.
Begin your second day of 6 days cairo & luxor tour with a visit to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, where you can marvel at a valuable and extensive assortment of Egyptian art spanning 5,000 years. This fascinating collection is not only the largest but also the most significant in the world.
More than 250,000 authentic objects are on display, featuring a special exhibition showcasing the remarkable treasures, gold, and jewelry found in the tomb of Tutankhamen. These artifacts had been preserved for over 3,500 years until they were unearthed in the 1920s during the excavation of the tomb. Afterward, you can explore the Great Pyramids, including Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerions. Cheops, in particular, is the largest pyramid ever constructed.
Afterward, we will provide you with a detailed examination of the Sphinx, an enormous burial site protected by the mythical lion figure with the visage of King Chephren. Ultimately, we will transport you to your hotel for the night.
First, have breakfast, and then our guide will collect you from your hotel and take you to visit the Step Pyramids of Zoser, which are the oldest significant stone structure in the world.
King Djoser commissioned the construction of this structure during the 3rd Dynasty, approximately 2630 BC. Following its completion, it was then relocated to Memphis, a city founded by King Menes that served as the capital of Ancient Egypt during the Old Kingdom. Memphis held significant importance as a hub of power and cultural influence for a remarkable span of 3000 years, thus earning the distinction of being Egypt’s initial capital. Furthermore, tourists will have the opportunity to admire the majestic Statue of Ramses II during their journey towards the southern regions, as well as explore the Red Pyramid and Bent Pyramid located in Dahshur.
You will be transported to the train station, where you will catch an overnight sleeper train to Luxor. Dinner will be provided on the train. You will spend the night on the Sleeper train before reaching Luxor.
Please be advised that we do not suggest this option as it requires a considerable amount of time, typically taking around 15 to 18 hours. Instead, we highly recommend upgrading to a domestic flight for a more comfortable journey and to enjoy an additional night at a luxurious 5-star hotel.
On the fourth day of the 6 days cairo & luxor tour, You’ll enjoy breakfast during your train ride. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and complete the check-in process. Your day tour will commence after you are picked up from the hotel, taking you to the east bank of Luxor. There, you will be accompanied by a private English-speaking Egyptologist guide to explore the Karnak Temples. These temples are a remarkable testament to ancient worship, having been dedicated to the deities Amon, Mut, and Khonsu. The construction of the temples spanned from the Middle Kingdom to the Greco-Roman Kingdom.
Next, proceed to Luxor Temple, which was constructed by Amunhotep III during the 18th Dynasty in the New Kingdom era. Subsequently, King Ramesses II, renowned in the 19th Dynasty, completed the structure. Interestingly, King Ramesses II held the title of the most famous ruler in this dynasty, as he governed Egypt for approximately 67 years.
The obelisk of Ramses II, located in front of the 1st Pylon, is dedicated to the revered deities Amun-Ra, Mut, and Khonsu, who together are known as the Theban triad. Take pleasure in visiting this historical site before returning to the hotel for the night in Luxor.
Our guide in Luxor will collect you from your hotel to explore the Western Bank of Luxor. Initially, you will visit the Valley of the Kings, a remarkable testament to architectural splendor and the final resting place of numerous kings. Notable tombs include those of King Tutmosis I, Tutmosis III, Tut-Ankh-Amon, King Ramssess VI, King Mrenptah, and Amonhotep II.
Afterward, proceed to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, constructed by Queen Hatshepsut herself. She was the daughter of Thutmosis I and governed Egypt for approximately two decades in the 18th Dynasty, from 1490 to 1469 B.C. She is known as the sole female pharaoh to have ruled ancient Egypt.
You will have the opportunity to see the colossi of Memnon at a later time.
Take a transfer to the train station in order to catch your overnight sleeper train to Cairo. Enjoy dinner while on the train and spend the night in the sleeper car.
Please be advised that we do not suggest this option as it requires a significant amount of time, approximately 15 to 18 hours. Please be aware that the hotel rating system in Egypt differs from that in the USA or Europe. Therefore, we strongly suggest considering our Luxury or Ultimate Luxury hotel options as the minimum standard in Egypt. Some 5-star hotels in Egypt may have a lower standard compared to those in other regions, resembling more like 3- or 4-star hotels. We do not recommend staying at 3- or 4-star hotels, as we have received numerous complaints from our guests regarding their quality.
Avoid long lines and time-consuming processes upon arrival. Our representative will ensure your visa is ready in advance. Simply send us a copy of your passport.
Attention: If you possess a valid Schengen, USA, or UK Visa, we can offer you visa assistance upon your arrival. There is no need for you to apply at the embassy in advance.
We do not suggest it as a good option since the journey lasts for approximately 15 to 18 hours and the train is incredibly noisy. The toilets are in poor condition and emit unpleasant odors. The overall quality of the food is not satisfactory.
