The itinerary of 6 days of Cairo and desert adventure

Day 1: Arrival in Cairo

When you arrive at Cairo airport, our representative will be waiting for you with a sign that says “egywonders Tours.” They will then take you to your hotel in an air-conditioned car. You will spend the night in Cairo.

Day 2:Pyramids and Museum

Have breakfast at your hotel in Cairo, and then at 9:00 AM, your personal guide will meet you and take you to the Giza Plateau. There, you will visit the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren, Mykerinus, the famous Sphinx, and the Valley Temple that is situated in front of the impressive statue.

Have lunch at a reputable restaurant nearby. Afterwards, visit the Egyptian Museum and take delight in exploring the Treasures Room, which showcases the belongings of the young pharaoh Tutankhamen.

If desired, Proceed to Coptic Cairo to see the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue. Then, venture to Islamic Cairo to explore the ancient marketplace of Cairo. Afterwards, return to the hotel for the night. Stay overnight in Cairo.

Day 3:Cairo /Bahariya Oasis

Have breakfast at the hotel and then leave the hotel in Cairo at 6:00 AM. Our representative will meet you, and you will travel to Bahariya Oasis in a modern air-conditioned vehicle, which will take approximately 4 hours from Cairo.

After reaching the destination, it is recommended to explore the Museum of Golden Mummies, the Tombs of the Nobles, the Alexander Temple, and the Temple of Meffetla. Later, take a trip to the hilltop ruins referred to as “the English House” to witness the breathtaking panoramic view during sunset. Spend the second night of 6 days of Cairo and desert adventure in Bahariya.

Day 4:White and Black Deserts

Once you finish breakfast, proceed to the White Desert. Along the way, you will journey through the Black Desert, characterized by cone-shaped mountains filled with abundant small black stones. Additionally, you will come across the Valley of El Haize, which boasts a rejuvenating spring.

Make a stop at Crystal Mountain and the beautiful Valley of Agabat to see the quartz crystals. Experience camping in the White Desert, where you can witness breathtaking sunsets while your guides prepare dinner for you.

Day 5:Back to Cairo

Once you have finished breakfast, take some time to explore the hot springs and take in the stunning sights of the white limestone rocks that surround the area. Afterwards, begin your journey back to Cairo.

You have the choice to have dinner on a cruise along the Nile or to go visit the Giza Pyramids to witness the amazing Sound and Light Show in the evening in Cairo. Spend the fourth night of 6 days of Cairo and desert adventure in Cairo.

Day 6:Final Departure

Enjoy breakfast and leisure time at your hotel until 12:00 PM, when it will be time to check out. Our representative will then pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to Cairo International Airport for your final departure.

Hotel Rating in Egypt:

• Please be aware that the hotel rating system in Egypt differs from that in the USA or Europe. Therefore, we strongly suggest considering our Luxury or Ultimate Luxury hotel options as the minimum standard in Egypt. Some 5-star hotels in Egypt may have a lower standard compared to those in other regions, resembling more like 3- or 4-star hotels. We do not recommend staying at 3- or 4-star hotels, as we have received numerous complaints from our guests regarding their quality.

Visa Service:

• Avoid long lines and time-consuming processes upon arrival. Our representative will ensure your visa is ready in advance. Simply send us a copy of your passport.

• Attention: If you possess a valid Schengen, USA, or UK Visa, we can offer you visa assistance upon your arrival. There is no need for you to apply at the embassy in advance.

Traveling by overnight train is not recommended.

• We do not suggest it as a good option since the journey lasts for approximately 15 to 18 hours and the train is incredibly noisy. The toilets are in poor condition and emit unpleasant odors. The overall quality of the food is not satisfactory. 

Travel Insurance from AIG

Occasionally, changes may occur in the Cruise itineraries, schedule, and sailing times along the Nile due to weather and sailing conditions. However, we guarantee that our clients will still have the opportunity to experience everything listed on their itineraries, although the order may vary.

Domestic flights:

The programs provide an estimate of the average cost and duration of domestic flights.

Extra fees may be added to flight tickets during peak seasons and if booked last minute, as they can become quite expensive without any prior warning. Asking for certain times for flights or making changes to reservations that have already been made may cause the total cost of the package to be adjusted.

Payment policy

Cruise schedule and Sailing times:

Occasionally, changes may occur in the Cruise itineraries, schedule, and sailing times along the Nile due to weather and sailing conditions. However, we guarantee that our clients will still have the opportunity to experience everything listed on their itineraries, although the order may vary.

Children’s policy:

1. Under 2 years free of charge.

2. During the period of 2 to 5 years, a quarter of the trip cost is paid.

3. Children between the ages of 6 and 11 will be charged half of the tour’s total cost.

4. 12+: Pay the full round price per adult.

Additional Entry Tickets

There are additional charges for certain archaeological sites on tours, such as exploring inside a pyramid to view burial chambers and visiting the Mummies Room at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. Entrance to the Tomb of Tutankhamun in Luxor’s Valley of the Kings also requires an extra fee.

Alexandria Trip

Please be aware that the Alexandria Library is not open on public holidays. Additionally, in order to access the reading area, it is necessary to obtain an additional ticket.

Essential Packing

You will require comfortable, flat shoes (ideally with a covering) when visiting the Pyramids and Valley of the Kings. Don’t forget to also pack flip flops or sandals to wear on the Nile felucca or Nile Cruiser.
