On the first day of 4 days with Ms. Amoura Dahabiya, you will visit the astonishing Philae Temple, a historic location that is included in most premium travel plans. Similar to other old structures in this area of Egypt, the Philae Temple was completely relocated to where it stands today. This was necessary to prevent this magnificent artifact from being submerged by the rising waters of Lake Nasser after the Aswan High Dam was constructed.
Once you have finished exploring Philae Temple, your next destination will be the Aswan High Dam, where you can witness the impressive structure that created Lake Nasser, one of the largest man-made lakes on Earth.
In the end, you will visit Aswan’s vibrant marketplace, where you can fully experience the local culture. This is also an excellent place to buy souvenirs, perfumes, spices, and more. Negotiating for the best prices is common here, but even if you struggle with haggling, your guide will ensure you don’t overpay for the items you wish to purchase.
Once you have experienced the vibrant atmosphere of the bazaar, you will be guided to the pier, where you will embark on the MS Amoura, a charming 5-Star Dahabiya boat that will serve as your accommodation for the rest of your 4-Day Aswan to Esna Amoura Dahabiya Nile Cruise. The boat will make a short stop at this site before sailing to the other side of the river to dock beside the fascinating Speos of Hormheb, an ancient rock-hewn temple. This place is truly captivating, but it is not included in regular Nile River cruises due to the inability of large cruise ships to dock here.
If the weather conditions are good, you will have the opportunity to have a delightful dinner in the evening on the illuminated temple grounds. However, if the weather is unfavorable, the dinner will be served on the upper deck of the Dahabiya, where you will still have a great view of the temple. To enhance the ambiance, there will be gentle music playing. Ultimately, the day will conclude with a peaceful night’s sleep in your luxurious cabin on the boat.

On the third day of 4 days with Ms. Amoura Dahabiya, you will get off the ship and go to Edfu Temple. But this visit will be special. Instead of a regular tour, you will be taken to the temple in a charming horse-drawn carriage. Edfu Temple was buried in the sand for about 2,000 years, which has helped to preserve it remarkably well, making it the most well-preserved ancient temple in Egypt.
After you finish exploring the temple, you will proceed to a nearby bustling market. You have the option to wander through the market on foot or opt for a horse-drawn carriage ride, pausing whenever something catches your eye to make a purchase.
After you finish your time at the market, you will need to return to the MS Amoura, which will set sail towards a small island on the Nile River. There, everyone will get off the boat and enjoy a delightful dinner and unforgettable Egyptian entertainment. However, if the weather does not allow for this, dinner will be served on the sundeck of the boat.
In the later part of the evening, the boat will leisurely navigate towards Esna. You will have the opportunity to spend the night on the water, enjoying the peaceful and comfortable environment of your cabin.

Your fourth day of 4 days with Ms. Amoura Dahabiya starts with a satisfying breakfast served on the boat. Although it is the final day of the 4-Day Aswan to Esna Amoura Dahabiya Nile Cruise, there are still plenty of sights to see. After everyone has finished eating, you will need to check out and leave the boat, and then the excitement begins.
An air-conditioned vehicle will transport you to Luxor, making a stop at the Valley of the Kings. This historical site consists of a large ancient necropolis where over 70 royal tombs have been found by archaeologists, including those of King Ramesses II and King Tutankhamen. Interestingly, King Tutankhamen’s mummy still remains in his tomb, though most of the artifacts discovered there are now exhibited at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
Your next destination will be an equally impressive location, specifically the rock-carved temple of Queen Hatshepsut. No words could truly capture the magnificence of this site, which is why it is now among Egypt’s most popular and significant archaeological gems.

Please be aware that the Alexandria Library is not open on public holidays. Additionally, in order to access the reading area, it is necessary to obtain an additional ticket.
You will require comfortable, flat shoes (ideally with a covering) when visiting the Pyramids and Valley of the Kings. Don’t forget to also pack flip flops or sandals to wear on the Nile felucca or Nile Cruiser.
