Please be aware that hotel ratings in Egypt are different from those in the USA or Europe. It is therefore advisable to choose Luxury or Ultimate Luxury hotel options as a minimum when staying in Egypt.

When individuals make reservations for tours and cruises with us, they can rest assured that they won’t have to stress about anything. Therefore, if you are planning to visit Abu Simbel for your Sai Lake Nasser cruise, be aware that our team will have a tour representative waiting for you in Aswan. This representative will be there to warmly greet you and assist in making your check-in process at the stunning Sai Dahabiya boat as seamless and trouble-free as possible.
During the middle of the day, you will receive your initial meal on the boat, and it will be a delightful lunch crafted by a skilled chef using only the finest ingredients sourced from the local area. Throughout your journey, the chef will be creating a diverse range of Egyptian and international dishes, ensuring there is a plentiful selection of appetizing options to savor.
After you finish your meal, you will proceed to leave and visit the Abu Simbel Temple, which consists of two massive temples carved out of rocks and situated next to each other. Following the Giza pyramids, these temples are the second-most famous ancient structures in Egypt. Their grandeur and significance cannot be adequately described in words.
Once you have finished admiring these incredible temples, you will make your way back to your Dahabiya just in time to enjoy a relaxing afternoon tea. From there, you will set sail towards Kasr Ibrim, where you can witness the grandeur of an ancient fortress.
The Citadel of Kasr Ibrim, also referred to as Qasr Ibrim, was constructed by Roman engineers and was considered the most formidable fortress in the entire Nile Valley during its time. However, the construction of the Aswan High Dam led to the submergence of the entire city of Kasr Ibrim due to rising waters. Presently, only the Citadel and the hill on which it stood can be seen.
Nobody is allowed to visit the island and fortress except for archaeologists. Nonetheless, due to their compact size, Dahabiya boats can approach very closely.
Afterwards, you will have the choice of attending a sound and light spectacle. However, it is important to note that this activity is not mandatory, and therefore, the cost of tickets for the Sai Lake Nasser cruise does not cover it.
Experience the delight of a splendid dinner while on board the Sai Dahabiya, followed by the unique opportunity to rest peacefully on the tranquil waters of Abu Simbel.
Start your second day of the Sai Lake Nasser cruise with a satisfying breakfast while enjoying the beautiful scenery. Following breakfast, you will have the opportunity to explore three captivating ancient sites: the Amada Temple, the Derr Temple, and the Penout Tomb. These remarkable locations will provide you with an unforgettable experience that will stay with you forever.
After your visit to these historic marvels, everyone will once again get on the Sai Dahabiya and set sail towards Wadi El Seboua, where it will anchor for the night. Meals, including lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner, will be provided on the boat as usual.
Begin your day with a scrumptious breakfast served on board, followed by an opportunity to explore the Temples of Wadi El Seboua. These temples are situated in an area commonly referred to as the Valley of the Lions. Similar to other temples along the Lake Nasser shoreline, the Temples of Wadi El Seboua were disassembled and relocated to higher terrain due to the rising water level caused by the construction of the Aswan High Dam.
Once you have had enough time to thoroughly explore the two captivating locations, you will head back to your Dahabiya for a scrumptious lunch. Soon after eating, you will embark on another delightful adventure, this time to visit the historic Temple of Dakka. It is worth noting that this temple started off as a small chapel or shrine with just one room, but it underwent multiple expansions and transformations, eventually becoming a fortified temple under Roman rule.
Once you have finished exploring this incredible site, you will rejoin your Sai Lake Nasser cruise and embark on a leisurely journey to Aswan. Take pleasure in your final dinner on the ship and spend your last night of the cruise on the water in Aswan.
Start your day with a satisfying breakfast on board, followed by a visit to the Temple of Beit El Wali. This ancient temple, created during the rule of Ramesses II, was carved into rocks and is known as the House of the Holy Man. This name implies that it may have been inhabited by a Christian hermit at some point in the past. After exploring this remarkable monument, you will be guided to see the Kalabsha Temple.
This ancient temple, constructed in 30 BC, was never fully finished. However, it is still highly recognized as a prime illustration of Egyptian architecture in Nubia. It is also the second-largest standalone ancient structure that was relocated to a higher location to protect it from flooding. The temple showcases numerous exquisite reliefs and artwork, and your knowledgeable guide will gladly explain their meaning to you.
Once you have had ample time to thoroughly explore the incredible site, it will then be necessary for you to go back to your Dahabiya in order to retrieve your belongings and complete the check-out process. Consequently, we will accompany you to either Aswan Airport or Aswan train station, based on your future travel arrangements.
Unfortunately, your cruise on Sai Lake Nasser has reached its conclusion. However, you would have encountered numerous magnificent locations throughout your journey, and the cruise itself would have undoubtedly left a lasting impression.
Although all Nile River and Lake Nasser cruises are exceptional, there is a unique charm to experiencing them on a Dahabiya. Egypt Tours Plus extends its best wishes for your continued journey and looks forward to welcoming you back in the future.

Please be aware that the hotel rating system in Egypt differs from that in the USA or Europe. Therefore, we strongly suggest considering our Luxury or Ultimate Luxury hotel options as the minimum standard in Egypt. Some 5-star hotels in Egypt may have a lower standard compared to those in other regions, resembling more like 3- or 4-star hotels. We do not recommend staying at 3- or 4-star hotels, as we have received numerous complaints from our guests regarding their quality.
Avoid long lines and time-consuming processes upon arrival. Our representative will ensure your visa is ready in advance. Simply send us a copy of your passport.
Attention: If you possess a valid Schengen, USA, or UK Visa, we can offer you visa assistance upon your arrival. There is no need for you to apply at the embassy in advance.
We do not suggest it as a good option since the journey lasts for approximately 15 to 18 hours and the train is incredibly noisy. The toilets are in poor condition and emit unpleasant odors. The overall quality of the food is not satisfactory.
Enjoy a worry-free journey and ensure your safety by opting for the AIG Travel Guard Travel Insurance program. For a duration of one week, the cost is $25 per person, while for trips lasting longer than one week, the price increases to $50 per person.
