Start by exploring the Step Pyramids of Zoser, which hold the title of being the oldest major stone structure in the world. These pyramids were constructed during the 3rd Dynasty, around 2630 BC, for the ruling King Djoser. Next, continue your journey to Memphis, a city established by King Menes. Once regarded as the capital of Ancient Egypt during the Old Kingdom, Memphis played a significant role in governing and nurturing cultural developments for over 3000 years. This city also boasts the Statue of Ramses II as a prominent attraction. Finally, return to your hotel in Cairo for an overnight stay.
In the morning, our guide will come to your hotel to take you on a trip. We will start by visiting Salah El Din Citadel, a fortress built by Salah El Din on the Mokattam hills in 1183 AD. Its purpose was to protect Cairo from Crusader attacks. After exploring the citadel, we will then visit the impressive Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque. This mosque was designed by Yousif Boushnaq, an architect from Istanbul, Turkey, who was specially hired to construct it for Mohamed Ali, the ruler of Egypt from 1805 to 1849. Mohamed Ali ruled for over 45 years.
Next, continue your journey by exploring Old Cairo, where you can delight in visiting the Hanging Church, Ben Ezra Synagogue, Church of St. Barbara, and Church of Abu Serga. Conclude the day with some retail therapy at Khan El Khalili Bazaar, a popular shopping destination. Return to your hotel for the night and stay overnight in Cairo.
In the morning, have breakfast and then head to the local airport. Board a plane to Aswan, and upon arrival, proceed to visit the High Dam and the Philae temple.

(Optional) Visit the Abu Simbel Temple. Departure to explore the remarkable Temple of Abu Simbel, which was constructed by Ramses II during the 19th Dynasty and later protected from being flooded by the Nile waters. These temples, considered some of the most magnificent ancient Egyptian structures, were built into a rock cliff made of sandstone. Each temple features intricate carvings depicting the respective deities they were dedicated to. Adjacent to the main temple is the smaller Temple of Nefertari, dedicated to the goddess Hathor, which was also preserved from inundation. Return to Aswan.
Get on the cruise ship and have lunch there. Sail to Kom Ombo and enjoy some afternoon tea. Explore the temple that is dedicated to the gods Sobek and Haroeris. Continue sailing to Edfu and have dinner on board. Later, there will be a disco party. Spend the night in Edfu.

Please be aware that the Alexandria Library is not open on public holidays. Additionally, in order to access the reading area, it is necessary to obtain an additional ticket.
You will require comfortable, flat shoes (ideally with a covering) when visiting the Pyramids and Valley of the Kings. Don’t forget to also pack flip flops or sandals to wear on the Nile felucca or Nile Cruiser.
