Have breakfast and begin your tour by visiting the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization. This museum is unique in Egypt as it provides a comprehensive insight into the various historical periods of the country. With over 50,000 artifacts, it showcases the Egyptian civilization from prehistoric times until the present.
The Royal Mummies Hall, located within the Egyptian Civilization Museum, is an essential area to visit. It contains a designated section where royal mummies, discovered in various tombs, are carefully preserved. The room is equipped with climate control systems to ensure the mummies are well preserved. Despite being mummified over 4000 years ago, the mummies of Kings Hatshepsut, Tuthmosis, and Ramses are still in good condition. The mummies of the kings and queens have slender bodies and appear smaller and shorter than their original size. Take a leisurely walk around this room and observe the Pharaohs and queens resting peacefully in climate-controlled surroundings, far from their original burial sites. Afterwards, take a trip to the impressive Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerions. Among them, the largest one ever constructed is the mighty pyramid of Cheops. Following that, you can get a detailed view of the Sphinx, a gigantic memorial compound protected by the iconic body of a lion with the visage of King Chephren.
Indulge in a camel expedition and delight in exquisite panoramic vistas of the Sphinx and Pyramids. Immerse yourself in captivating tales of the Pharaohs’ lives as I divulge undisclosed anecdotes and intricate details not found in any books! If desired, an optional excursion at night to experience the sound and light show at the Pyramids area

Following this visit, proceed to Memphis, the founding site of Old Egypt by King Menes. Serving as the capital during the Old Kingdom, Memphis remained a focal point of power and culture for a staggering 3000 years. Here, take the opportunity to marvel at the iconic statue of Ramses II.
