Day 1: Cairo

Upon your arrival at Cairo Airport, you will be greeted by our representative, who will be holding a sign with the name egywonders Tours. Following this, you will be transferred to your luxury hotel in an air-conditioned car. You will spend the night in Cairo.

Day 2: Cairo

Begin your day with breakfast and then proceed to explore the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. This museum houses a remarkable and unparalleled collection of ancient Egyptian artwork spanning an impressive 5,000 years. It is considered the most extensive and valuable assortment of Egyptian art in existence. An exhibition is available that showcases the Tutankhamen collection, which includes valuable treasures, gold items, and jewelry. Additionally, one can visit the impressive Great Pyramids (Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerions), as well as the Sphinx, and enjoy a free camel ride. 

(Not required) Attend the sound and light show at the Pyramids area for an evening excursion. 

Overnight in Cairo 

Day 3: Cairo/Nile Cruise

Start the 3rd day of 12 days luxury Egypt and Nile cruise package with breakfast before heading to the domestic airport for a flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to visit the Temple of Karnak and the Temple of Luxor. As part of the excursion, you will have the opportunity to explore the Luxor Temple and see its courtyard, as well as the granite statues of Ramses the Great. The journey will then continue to Karnak. Get on your luxury Nile cruise. Arrive and board before lunchtime. Enjoy a meal on the cruise. Stay overnight in Luxor.

Day 4: Nile cruise

Breakfast. 

(Optional) Hot Air Balloon: If you wish to have a truly unforgettable experience during your stay in Luxor, you can choose to embark on a serene journey above the magnificent Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, and Mountain of the Nobles.

The duration of the flight varies depending on the weather conditions, typically ranging from 30 to 45 minutes. Experience a trip to the West Bank and explore the remarkable attractions such as the Valley of the Kings, the colossal statues of Memnon, and the magnificent Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari. Enjoy an overnight stay on a cruise ship for a truly memorable journey.  

Day 5: Nile Cruise

On your 5th day of 12 days luxury Egypt and Nile cruise package, Have breakfast on the ship. Explore the Temple of Horus in Edfu. Cruise to Kom Ombo. Enjoy lunch on the ship. Visit the temple that is dedicated to the gods Sobek and Haroeris in Kom Ombo. Have afternoon tea. Spend the night in Kom Ombo. 

Day 6: Nile Cruise

Have breakfast while on the boat. Begin sailing towards Aswan. Explore the High Dam, the Granite Quarries, and the Temple of Philae. Enjoy lunch on the boat. Spend the night in Aswan.

Day 7: Aswan/Cairo

Breakfast on board. Disembarkation.

(Optional, not included) Travel to the Temple of Abu Simbel, a magnificent ancient Egyptian monument constructed by Ramses II during the 19th Dynasty. These temples were rescued from being submerged by the Nile waters and are considered among the most impressive examples of ancient Egyptian architecture. Carved into a rock cliff made of sandstone, each temple showcases detailed representations of the gods and goddesses it was dedicated to. Adjacent to the main temple is a smaller one dedicated to Nefertari, the wife of the king, and the goddess Hathor. Return to Aswan. 

Travelers will be transported to Aswan Airport and board a plane to Cairo. Upon arrival, they will be transferred to their hotel in Cairo. They will stay overnight in Cairo. 

Day 8: Alexandria

Enjoy a delightful breakfast before your tour of Alexandria begins. You will be conveniently collected by our knowledgeable guide from your hotel, commencing your journey to this vibrant city. 

Begin your tour at the library of Alexandria, which is currently the largest library globally, housing a collection of 8 million books. Explore the library’s open court and take advantage of the opportunity to visit the free museums it offers. 

Please be informed that the Alexandria Library is not open on Fridays or on all public holidays. In order to access the reading area, it is necessary to obtain an additional ticket.

Afterwards, you can explore the Lighthouse Site, which is recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and currently houses the Qaitbey Castle. Additionally, take a stroll through the regal gardens that once belonged to King Farouk, the final monarch of Egypt, and marvel at the grandeur of the Haramlek and Salamlek royal palaces, along with the beautiful beaches used by the queens. As you continue your tour, ensure a visit to the Abbo Elabbas Mosque, known for its stunning aesthetics and size, and also pay homage to the Unknown Soldier of Alexandria at the memorial and admire the statue of the renowned Alexander the Great. 

Afterwards, you have the choice to take a break and have lunch (which is optional) before heading to St. Mark’s Church. This church is known as the oldest in Africa. Then, you will continue your journey by driving along the Cornish coast, covering a distance of 30 kilometers. Along the way, you will be able to enjoy a panoramic view of Alexandria from the sea, including the old harbor, where a remarkable 7,000 underwater monuments were discovered. Make sure to make a stop at the renowned Stanley Bridge, a modern symbol of Alexandria, before exploring the historic downtown area and strolling through the city center. It’s worth noting that this center was originally built by Alexander the Great. Finally, you will be comfortably transported back to your hotel.

Day 9: Alex’s free day

Optional: If you choose to, our guide will collect you from your hotel and facilitate a full-day excursion to Alamain. Throughout the day, you will have the opportunity to explore the War Museum of Alamain, where you will be able to witness the historical accounts of the war, view a range of weapons, and observe the diverse uniforms worn by soldiers from various forces. Additionally, you will have the chance to visit the Commonwealth and German cemeteries, paying respects to fallen soldiers.

Day 10: Cairo

Start your day with breakfast and then hop into an air-conditioned car for your journey to Cairo. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to Salah El Din Citadel, a fortress built by Salah El Din in 1183 AD on the Moqattam hills. This impressive structure was constructed as a defense against the Crusaders’ armies, and now it’s time for you to explore and learn about its rich history. 

Next, take a tour of the magnificent Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque, which was constructed by Yousif Boushnaq, a talented Turkish architect who traveled all the way from Istanbul. This stunning mosque was commissioned by Egypt’s ruler, Mohamed Ali, who held power for an impressive 45-year period from 1805 to 1849. 

Afterwards, make your way to Old Cairo, where you can explore and appreciate the Hanging Church, Ben Ezra Synagogue, Church of St. Barbara, and Church of Abu Serga. Finally, head to your hotel for the night and stay in Cairo. 

Day 11: Cairo Free Day

You have the choice to explore the Step Pyramids of Zoser, which hold the title of being the oldest significant stone structure in the world. King Djoser commissioned its construction in the 3rd Dynasty, approximately in 2630 BC.

Following the relocation to Memphis, a city established by King Menes and serving as the ancient capital of Egypt in the Old Kingdom, it became a prominent hub of governance and cultural activities for more than three millennia. Memphis was Egypt’s initial capital and offers an opportunity to witness the magnificent statue of Ramses II. During the journey towards the southern region, explorers will also have the chance to visit the Red Pyramid and Bent Pyramid located in Dahshur.

Hotel Rating in Egypt:

• Please be aware that the hotel rating system in Egypt differs from that in the USA or Europe. Therefore, we strongly suggest considering our Luxury or Ultimate Luxury hotel options as the minimum standard in Egypt. Some 5-star hotels in Egypt may have a lower standard compared to those in other regions, resembling more like 3- or 4-star hotels. We do not recommend staying at 3- or 4-star hotels, as we have received numerous complaints from our guests regarding their quality.

Visa Service:

• Avoid long lines and time-consuming processes upon arrival. Our representative will ensure your visa is ready in advance. Simply send us a copy of your passport.

• Attention: If you possess a valid Schengen, USA, or UK Visa, we can offer you visa assistance upon your arrival. There is no need for you to apply at the embassy in advance.

Traveling by overnight train is not recommended.

• We do not suggest it as a good option since the journey lasts for approximately 15 to 18 hours and the train is incredibly noisy. The toilets are in poor condition and emit unpleasant odors. The overall quality of the food is not satisfactory.

Domestic flights:

The programs provide an estimate of the average cost and duration of domestic flights.

Extra fees may be added to flight tickets during peak seasons and if booked last minute, as they can become quite expensive without any prior warning. Asking for certain times for flights or making changes to reservations that have already been made may cause the total cost of the package to be adjusted.

Cruise schedule and Sailing times:

Occasionally, changes may occur in the Cruise itineraries, schedule, and sailing times along the Nile due to weather and sailing conditions. However, we guarantee that our clients will still have the opportunity to experience everything listed on their itineraries, although the order may vary.

Children’s policy:

1. Under 2 years free of charge.

2. During the period of 2 to 5 years, a quarter of the trip cost is paid.

3. Children between the ages of 6 and 11 will be charged half of the tour’s total cost.

4. 12+: Pay the full round price per adult.

Additional Entry Tickets

There are additional charges for certain archaeological sites on tours, such as exploring inside a pyramid to view burial chambers and visiting the Mummies Room at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. Entrance to the Tomb of Tutankhamun in Luxor’s Valley of the Kings also requires an extra fee.

Alexandria Trip

Please be aware that the Alexandria Library is not open on public holidays. Additionally, in order to access the reading area, it is necessary to obtain an additional ticket.

Essential Packing

You will require comfortable, flat shoes (ideally with a covering) when visiting the Pyramids and Valley of the Kings. Don’t forget to also pack flip flops or sandals to wear on the Nile felucca or Nile Cruiser.
