The temples were constructed from a sandstone cliff, and carvings of the gods they were dedicated to are displayed on their large fronts. Closeby, the small Temple of Nefertari, the wife of the King, is also preserved. This temple is dedicated to the goddess Hathor. Let’s return to Aswan.

The egywonders tour guide will come to your hotel to begin the tour. The first stop will be the library of Alexandria, which is currently the largest library in the world with 8 million books. You will have the chance to explore its open court and view the statues of Alexander the Great and Ptolemy the First, both of which were discovered underwater nearby. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to visit free museums and collections, such as the Saddat Museum and the Alexandria Museum’s impressive exhibitions.
Explore the Roman Amphitheater of Alexandria, where you can marvel at the exhibition of the submerged landmarks of Alexandria that were uncovered beneath the East Harbor of the city. Afterwards, the car will transport you to the church of St. Mark, which is known as the oldest church in Africa. Following that, you will have the opportunity to explore the historic downtown area of Alexandria, where you can wander through the old city center. Take in the sights of the traditional markets, where you can find a wide range of items for sale, including traditional Egyptian sweets and delicacies. The architecture in this area showcases baroque influences as well as properties with Italian and French styles. Explore El Nabi Daniel Mosque, a site that is often associated with the tomb of Alexander the Great. According to popular belief, this mosque houses the remains of the esteemed scholar and revered teacher Prophet Daniel, as well as Sidi Lokman el Hakim, a religious storyteller. You have the choice to take a lunch break at either a contemporary fish restaurant or a well-known and traditional food spot in Alexandria known as Mohamed Ahmed’s. This particular establishment is frequently visited by notable individuals like the Queen of Spain during their trips to the city. You have the choice to relax at a high-quality coffee shop or at a traditional shisha cafe.
Keep exploring by walking through the historic market district of Mansheya, known as the oldest in the area. As you go, you will come across the traditional women’s markets called “zan’et etsetat. These markets are characterized by their extremely narrow and crowded streets. Additionally, you can also find a gold market in this area, where people purchase their wedding and engagement jewelry. Next, the vehicle will transport you to the most beautiful and largest mosque in the city, known as the Abbo Elabbas Mosque. Adjacent to the mosque is a peculiar sight: an aging amusement park where children enjoy riding vintage fairground attractions and indulging in cotton candy. Across from the corniche is the old harbor, where one can observe vintage fishing boats, fishermen in action, and traditional fishermen crafting nets. The captured images from this location are truly breathtaking. Proceed with exploring the exterior of Quaitbay Castle, situated on the original site of the historic Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. This awe-inspiring castle provides a fantastic opportunity for memorable photographs.
The car will subsequently transport you to the Montaza Gardens. During the journey, you have the choice to make a brief 2-minute stop at the King of Mango for a drink of freshly squeezed juices from the drive-thru and also have the opportunity to take a photo at the memorial of the Unknown Soldier of Alexandria. When you go to Montaza Gardens, which is also known as the Love Garden and is a popular spot for couples and families, you will be able to tour the gardens that belonged to King Farouk, the final king of Egypt. You can also explore the royal palaces of Haramlek and Salamlek, take a stroll along the well-known Montaza bridge, and venture to the Tea Palace island to observe the beaches that were reserved for the queens.

Please be aware that the hotel rating system in Egypt differs from that in the USA or Europe. Therefore, we strongly suggest considering our Luxury or Ultimate Luxury hotel options as the minimum standard in Egypt. Some 5-star hotels in Egypt may have a lower standard compared to those in other regions, resembling more like 3- or 4-star hotels. We do not recommend staying at 3- or 4-star hotels, as we have received numerous complaints from our guests regarding their quality.
Avoid long lines and time-consuming processes upon arrival. Our representative will ensure your visa is ready in advance. Simply send us a copy of your passport.

We do not suggest it as a good option since the journey lasts for approximately 15 to 18 hours and the train is incredibly noisy. The toilets are in poor condition and emit unpleasant odors. The overall quality of the food is not satisfactory.
