This magnificent temple, constructed by Ramses II during the 19th Dynasty, is one of the remarkable ancient Egyptian monuments saved from being flooded by the Nile waters. Carved into a sandstone cliff, the temple showcases representations of the deities it is dedicated to on its massive exterior. In close proximity, you can find the small temple of Nefertari, the wife of the king. This temple is devoted to the goddess Hathor. Let’s return to Aswan.
You will be transferred to explore the High Dam and the Philae Temple. Then, you will be transferred to the cruise ship, where you will have lunch on board. The ship will sail to Kom Ombo, and in the afternoon, you can enjoy tea. You will have the opportunity to visit the temple, which is dedicated to the gods Sobek and Haroeris. The ship will then sail to Edfu, where you will have dinner on board and spend the night.

Next, explore the site of the lighthouse, which is recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Nowadays, it is occupied by the magnificent Qaitbey Castle. Take some time to discover the splendid royal gardens belonging to King Farouk, the final ruler in Egypt’s history. Don’t miss the chance to admire the grandeur of the Haramlek and Salamlek royal palaces, along with the mesmerizing royal beaches favored by the queens. Another must-see is the Abbo Elabbas Mosque, a stunning architectural masterpiece and the most beautiful and largest mosque in the entire city. Additionally, make sure to pay your respects at the Memorial of the Unknown Soldier of Alexandria and marvel at the impressive statue of Alexander the Great. Afterward, you have the option to take a break for lunch before heading to the church of St. Mark, which happens to be the oldest church in Africa. Then, you will embark on a drive along the Cornish coast, covering a distance of 30 kilometers, to get a panoramic view of Alexandria from the seaside. This view encompasses the ancient harbor of Alexandria, where we have discovered approximately 7,000 submerged monuments. Once you reach your destination, you will be taken to your hotel with convenient transportation arrangements. You have the option to explore the Step Pyramids of Zoser, which are the oldest significant stone structure in the world. Constructed during the 3rd Dynasty around 2630 BC, this pyramid was built for King Djoser.
Following the relocation to Memphis, a city established by King Menes that served as the ancient capital of Egypt during the Old Kingdom, it earned a reputation as a prominent hub for governance and civilization for more than three millennia. It was also the original capital of Egypt and offers the opportunity to marvel at the remarkable statue of Ramses II. While heading towards the southern region, a visit to the Red Pyramid and Bent Pyramid in Dahshur will be included in your itinerary.

Some 5-star hotels in Egypt may have a lower standard compared to those in other regions, resembling more like 3- or 4-star hotels. There are additional charges for certain archaeological sites on tours, such as exploring inside a pyramid to view burial chambers and visiting the Mummies Room at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. Entrance to the Tomb of Tutankhamun in Luxor’s Valley of the Kings also requires an extra fee.
Please be aware that the Alexandria Library is not open on public holidays. Additionally, in order to access the reading area, it is necessary to obtain an additional ticket.
You will require comfortable, flat shoes (ideally with a covering) when visiting the Pyramids and Valley of the Kings. Don’t forget to also pack flip flops or sandals to wear on the Nile felucca or Nile Cruiser.
